OS EFEITOS DO SILÊNCIO ORGANIZACIONAL NA INOVAÇÃO

Resumo

Com as mudanças sociais, econômicas, culturais e tecnológicas, as organizações passaram a demandar maior engajamento de seus funcionários nos processos de trabalho. O compartilhamento de conhecimento adquire um papel vital nesse cenário. Por variadas razões, os funcionários preferem permanecer em silêncio ao invés de se valerem da voz para expressar suas ideias, opiniões e críticas. Há muitas evidências empíricas quanto à relação entre o Silêncio Organizacional e a Inovação Organizacional. Entender como a gestão de uma organização pode afastar e inibir o comprometimento dos indivíduos na participação de conflitos produtivos que gerem aprendizados e a reprodução de novas ideias, a partir de variados pontos de vista, e como isso afeta, negativamente, a capacidade das organizações responderem às mudanças que ocorrem em seu ambiente. Infelizmente, em muitas organizações, públicas e privadas, verificamos a existência de um círculo vicioso, em que gestores continuamente obstaculizam a vocalização de críticas, opiniões e ideias pelo temor de verem sua posição hierárquica e o seu poder serem questionados. Assim, ciclo após ciclo, o potencial criativo dos indivíduos vai se apagando, levando a organização a um processo de inadaptabilidade diante das grandes mudanças que ocorrem no ambiente. A visão míope e ultrapassada de uma gestão com o monopólio das respostas e detentora de uma autoridade absoluta, não condiz com a realidade um ambiente volátil, incerto e complexo. A possibilidade de canalizar criatividade individual através de várias equipes, deve ser compreendida como uma necessidade vital para a obtenção de inovações que garantam a obtenção de vantagens competitivas para a organização.
