NURSE FOLLOW-UP OF PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS: TRANSFORMING CARE

Abstract

Objective: To observe and analyze knowledge regarding the monitoring of nurses in the care of patients with an active diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Methods: This is a qualitative, descriptive approach, based on an integrative research. A time cut between 2013 and 2023 was used, performing a search in the VHL database, based on health descriptors, Multiple Sclerosis, Nursing Care, Health Promotion, Nursing Process. Results: 09 articles were found, where it was formalized for the creation of the work. However, it is evident that Multiple Sclerosis has become a disease, whose professional nurse has to become active in the promotion and evolution of care, since he has technical-scientific knowledge that makes him capable of evolving in terms of continuity of treatment as a form of humanization. Conclusion: However, we observed that the professional nurse becomes increasingly guiding the quality of care provided to patients with Multiple Sclerosis, so that the evolution, promotion and continuity, extends to family members, who will also provide the desired assistance.
