DIFFICULTIES IN TRACKING CERVICAL CANCER IN THE SINGLE HEALTH SYSTEM

Abstract

This literature review aimed to decipher the difficulties in screening for cervical cancer in the single health system. The scientific studies that supported this work were researched in the VHL and SciELO, the selection began after reading the summary for aggregation, with 13 articles selected, which meet the objectives of this work. The critical study made possible the data for this work, all the articles that supported it were presented in a table, containing title, author, year, objective, methodology and conclusion. The discussion was carried out based on 6 axes: 1) Cervical cancer and its characteristics; 2) The Cytopathological Examination collection technique; 3) Cytopathological examination and its importance in screening for Ca in the uterus; 4) Nursing and difficulties in screening for uterine Ca; 5) Consequences of uterine ca on women, families and public health; 6) Relationship between immunization against HPV and prevention of cervical cancer. Concluding with the importance of the nurse in the entire screening process, breaking existing taboos, educational actions, adequate collection of cytopathology, patient and professional trust, easy access to appointments.
