O USO DAS TECNOLOGIAS DA INFORMAÇÃO E COMUNICAÇÃO NA ELABORAÇÃO DE TRABALHO DE CONCLUSÃO DE CURSO

Abstract

Ease of access, speed of communication and constant updating made the Internet an essential tool for carrying out the Course Completion Work (TCC), especially during Covid-19. However, there are limitations: excess information, reliability of sources, training for use and access. The general objective of the study is to analyze the contribution of ICTs to the preparation of the TCC, by students of the Accounting Sciences Course, Fortaleza (CE) campus, of UFCE, in the semesters of 2021.1, 2022.1 and 2023.1. The specific objectives are: (i) identify the main research and reading sources used on the Internet; (ii) identify the scientific research tools most used in the preparation of TCCs; and (iii) analyze the main difficulties faced by students in using ICTs. The research is descriptive and qualitative with bibliographical research, case study and survey designs. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire (Google Forms), structured in three dimensions with open and closed questions. The total sample was 160 students, random and stratified in the semesters 2021.1 (85), 2022.1 (39) and 2023.1 (36). Data analysis was carried out using the descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that the main sources of online research for preparing the TCC were: scientific articles, dissertations/theses, legislation and e-books. The most used digital tools: Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Forms and Google Docs. The limitations were the lack of knowledge to: access websites, platforms and digital programs; the use of technological tools to search for references; and carry out the structuring, organization and/or interpretation of data. The relevance of ICTs for preparing the TCC was concluded because students used research tools and platforms intensively.
