Abstract

This scientific article aims to present an overview of the impact of physical exercise on the cardiovascular health of individuals affected by viral diseases, in this case COVID-19. The research carried out, through a literature review, allowed us to analyze and conclude that regular and supervised physical exercise brings significant benefits to cardiovascular health. An improvement in physical fitness and muscular endurance was observed, as well as a reduction in blood pressure levels and resting heart rate. In addition, it was found that physical exercise promoted a significant reduction in the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as arterial hypertension and stroke, as well as the relationship with physical and emotional well-being, improving, in general, the quality of life. These results emphasize the importance of regular physical exercise in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, providing substantial evidence to develop health promotion strategies based on exercise. In summary, this study highlights the positive effects of physical exercise on cardiovascular health, emphasizing the need for its incorporation as a fundamental part of a health care routine. This research provides important support for health professionals, contributing to a better understanding of the benefits provided by regular physical activity.
